RAP Brief Proposal
Dissertation Idea
Building on my RAP project, my dissertation aims to further explore the use of interactive immersive virtual reality (IVR) nature exposure as an intervention to support college students with moderate to high levels of test anxiety.

Unlike my previous RAP study, where participants mainly completed cognitive performance tests before and after the IVR intervention, the experimental group in the dissertation study will be asked to complete specific learning tasks within or outside the IVR environment. These tasks will be designed to help participants learn particular content or skills while experiencing the virtual nature environment. A control group will also be included for comparison purposes. The study will examine the effects of this interactive IVR nature exposure with embedded learning tasks on participants’ test anxiety levels and learning performance.
