Yuyue (Stella) Wang

Hi! I’m Yuyue (Stella) Wang, a PhD student in the Instructional Design, Development & Evaluation (IDD&E) program at Syracuse University. My research explores how emerging technologies, such as virtual reality (VR) and artificial intelligence (AI), can be thoughtfully integrated into teaching and learning to support students' cognitive performance, emotional well-being, and academic achievement.

Grounded in instructional design principles and learning theories, I design, develop, and evaluate technology-enhanced learning experiences that are both engaging and effective. My work is informed by multimedia learning theory, cognitive load theory, and evidence-based instructional strategies to promote deeper learning and reduce unnecessary mental effort.

With experience as an instructional designer, I bring a practitioner’s perspective to my research, focusing on how design decisions influence learning outcomes across various educational contexts. I am passionate about creating inclusive, supportive, and high-impact learning environments that empower all students to succeed.
